Office Holiday Photos: ‘Tis the Season to Standout
It's that time of year again! (Where’d the time go?) As you celebrate all of your successes with your team, capture the special moments with amazing photos.
Stand out on social media and show your clients that you're a business that cares about having fun and enjoying the holiday season. Whether you’re throwing your annual party or sending a holiday card to clients, we can help!
Holiday Themed Branding Photos
If you’re having a holiday party with your team, this is a perfect opportunity for photos. While we’re sure they’ll take selfies and pictures with their phones, you’ll want to hire a photographer to take candid shots during the event. Think of your poor assistant if they had to spend the party behind the camera.
After the party, imagine a client visiting your website or social channels to see all the photos ugly sweaters and Santa hats; it's sure to make an impact on their overall impression! Of course, if you’re sending company holiday cards, you’re sure to want professional photos to show off your business in style & keep your credibility high.
Cheers! To Great Content
It's more than just a Christmas card! If you haven’t had a branding photoshoot in a while, now is the time to give your business the gift of new content. It’s not only shareable throughout the holiday season, but for years to come! You can reuse some of these photos as evergreen content for your brand.
Remember to check video off your wish list too.
It’s All About Giving
Sure, photos with Santa and holiday events are always great, but let's not forgot the most important part of the holiday season, giving back.
If your business has plans to volunteer, run a food drive, or do other givebacks, make sure you get images to share with everyone! This is a great way to show that your business is active in the community and cares about giving back.
Besides, spreading joy and positivity during the holiday season isn't just good for your brand, but good for the world. When your business gives back to the community, it not only helps those in need but also helps to spread the joy and goodwill of the holiday season!

iPhone 14 Photography Tips from a Professional Photographer
Most people don’t have a professional photographer along with them daily. At NTP2 Photography, we believe in capturing all the best moments of your life. And that means making the most of your smartphone to get good photos in between professional sessions too.
Technology is always evolving, and FAST. Although the changes year by year aren’t as noticeable as they used to be, there are still some huge leaps being made in the type of software that gets built into our cell phones.
You may be asking, “Software? I thought I clicked on a photography blog!” Well, in this article, we will break down what’s new with smartphone photography tech. And, share some tips on how to get the most out of your personal photos!
Of course, there is no full substitute for hiring a professional photographer. Remember for all those moments an iPhone can’t catch to call/text NTP2 Photography or book your next session today!
How Smartphone Camera Quality Works
A big buzzword for consumer-level cameras is the “megapixel count” or MP. If I asked you which camera was better between 108 MP & 48 MP, you would likely say 108 as the size of the photo is much higher than the other phone.
These 2 numbers are the stats for the Samsung S22 and the iPhone 14; and even though the Samsung has over double the megapixel count, the iPhone produces better images (sorry, Androids)!
This is because of compression. See, a 100 MP camera would create images that take up over 200mb of space, meaning your phone would run out of space very quickly. To prevent this, the files get compressed to be smaller.
Apple does a much better job with compression, meaning the photos you end up getting are of higher quality.
Huge Leaps in Lighting
Honestly, you could take a photo with a $10,000 camera, but if the lighting or the settings are off, you’ll still end up with a horrible picture.
Apple and other smartphone creators are making it easier to take perfect photos, no matter where you are. New features like “night mode” on the iPhone 14, offer long-exposure photography to the masses. As long as you can hold still, your personal pictures in low-light situations will be better than ever!
iPhone 14 Photo Tips from a Professional Photographer
Just as you would in a professional photo session, consider lighting first. Natural is best, and your built-in flash should be a last resort. Make sure night mode is set to automatically turn on instead of the flash.
Use all the cameras! The zoom camera is more than just a way to zoom in, it can also change the perspective of the photo. Play around with the 2x and .5x cameras to find the best shot.
Turn the video quality to the highest setting (if you have the storage)
Social media star in the making? Get more impressions with better quality; try to practice using the back cameras for videos instead of the front-facing ones! You wouldn’t see yourself on camera when a professional like us at NTP2 is shooting the video either.
No Substitute for a Professional
Although iPhones can make for some excellent cameras, the person using the camera is the biggest factor behind the quality of the photo.
If you require a professional photographer, look no further than us here at NTP2 Photography.

When Should I Choose a Branding Session vs. Headshots?
Having high-quality photos helps to elevate your brand by visually showing your audience exactly what you do. Before you just get new headshots for your team, consider what a branding session could offer!
When looking to improve your business, one of the most powerful choices is to get professional photography to use in your marketing. Having high-quality photos helps to elevate your brand by visually showing your audience exactly what you do. Before you just get new headshots for your team, consider what a branding session could offer.
What's a branding session? The experts at NTP 2 Photography are here to break down the difference between branding sessions and headshots to help you determine which is the best option for your business.
First Things First: What is a Branding Session?
Headshots are a little more self-explanatory, it's just a shot of your head; typically, from the chest up on a plain background. But what is a branding session? A branding session is much more comprehensive, featuring the entire business at work. Instead of portraits, you're hiring a photographer to come spend some time with you while you work, and make it look good!
Branding shoots may include shots of the building itself, branded materials, and you or your team doing things in your workplace. Some examples of shots are:
Making a coffee
Going through documents
Or any other aspect of your business operations!
A branding shoot doesn't need to involve you working, but can be seen as an "extended", more casual portrait session than headshots.

How Can a Branding Shoot Help My Business?
The goal of these photos is to show potential clients exactly how your business works; allowing them to get a feel for the "vibe" of your business before making a decision to contact you.
Think back to every professional ad you've seen in a magazine or on social media. Any large and successful brand makes sure that all its branding is of the highest quality. By hiring a professional photographer, your clients will automatically associate you with a higher standard of quality, just based on how professional your branding looks.

When Should I Choose Headshots Instead?
Although branding sessions are the most overall appealing, sometimes that is just not what you need for your business at the moment. Getting professional headshots of you and anyone else on your team will help clients get to know the faces behind your business, helping to build trust.
Build Up Your Business' Branding with NTP 2 Photography
Any progress is good progress! Although we think branding sessions are the most beneficial, we understand that a full branding session may not be possible. Maybe you just need updated headshots for new team members, or just need personal headshots done. Whatever your need, NTP 2 Photography is here to help!

How Professional Photography Helps Houses Sell Faster
It's no secret that real estate is a visual industry. Online home listings with beautiful photos tend to get more clicks and generate more interest than those without. And while you may think that any old photo will do, there's actually a lot that goes into taking a great real estate photo.
Our pros here at NTP 2 Photography explain how and why professional photography helps your house sell faster.
People Notice Quality First
First and foremost, professional photos make your house look its best. Even something as simple as picking a restaurant for lunch is heavily influenced by the quality of the photos online.
Shopping for a home is no different - buyers will mentally place the more professional listings higher than others. This is a make-or-break step when listing your home online, as very few people who see your listing will actually go visit the home or place an offer.

Capturing the Scale
It's hard to really express scale through photography if you don't know what you are doing. An experienced real estate photographer will use a number of techniques to make sure that your home's size is accurately conveyed in the listing photos. This can be the difference between a buyer getting excited about your home... or moving on to the next listing.
With poor lighting and crooked lines, an amateur photo can make even the nicest of homes look small and unappealing.
